I don't know if the claim about "thermal detonators" in electronic devices is true or not, and I thought there were a surprising number of spelling errors, but otherwise I found this video thought-provoking. Stuff made decades ago was certainly much better made, much more durable, and always repairable. No question about that. And it seems like consumers let manufacturers get away with this out of ignorance.
I don't know what solutions exist for this, other than widespread zero-point education and everybody-all-at-once deciding we want to live differently. (Read the book
